What exactly is a non-surgical hair system?
A tailored unit of premium hair on an ultra-thin, breathable membrane or lace base that's securely bonded to your scalp, giving you a full head of hair that looks and feels completely natural. No surgery, no downtime.
How long can I wear it for?
Unlike a wig, it stays on. No taking it off at night. You can wear it for up to 6 weeks at a time, though we recommend a re-groom every 3 to 4 weeks to keep it looking its sharpest.
Can I shower, swim and train in it?
Yes. It's built for real life. Shower, swim and work out as normal. If you swim a lot, we'll simply suggest slightly more frequent re-grooms.
Will it ever come off?
No. As long as the adhesive is refreshed on schedule, your system stays securely fixed and only releases with our solvent spray. Lifting edges are simply your cue that a maintenance session is due.
Will it damage my natural hair?
No. Our adhesives are medically treated and skin-safe, so your scalp can breathe. It won't affect your natural hair growth or speed up hair loss.
Do I need to attend an in-studio appointment as an At Home member?
Yes. Every At Home member has a complimentary 60-minute in-studio fitting, cut and style for their first system. Your membership starts the day you join, and your tailored system is sent to your chosen studio, where it's held ready for you. Book your fitting from your member lounge whenever suits. A Tuffs professional applies it and shows you what a correct fit looks like. After that, you look after your system at home with your Tuffs Kit, the Tuffs Academy videos and online support.
Can I look after it myself at home?
Yes. After your first in-studio fitting, you take over at home. Your Tuffs Kit, step-by-step video guides and online support cover everything. Re-grooming takes around 30 to 45 minutes once you know the routine.
I'm not near a studio, or I already wear a system. Can you help?
We'd love to help. Every At Home membership begins with one complimentary fitting at a Tuffs studio, so you'll make the trip just once. After that, everything happens at home: your systems arrive at your door and the Tuffs Academy guides you through every step. Already wear a system from elsewhere? Switch to Tuffs and start with that same first fitting.
